3D Max Cloth
Cloth is a very powerful feature and is quite new to 3D Studio Max. Cloth works best with panels but can be applied to any object in Max.
Cloth simulations can be very hardware intensive, so it is usually best to set the attributes to low to start with and build them up to higher quality when you are confident the simulation is giving you the results you want. Processor speed directly affects the speed at which the calculations are completed.

In the example above, a plane was used in a cloth simulation with the teapot set as the collision object. To finish up the cloth, mesh smooth was applied on top of the cloth modifier to dramatically improve the appearance of the cloth effect. Low poly objects perform faster in cloth calculations than once with a high poly count, using mesh smooth after a simulation helps guarantee a fast workflow with good quality results.
